How It Started

Built on a Simple Idea

Ashford Painting was started in 2011 by James Ashford, a Cincinnati native who spent eight years working for other painting companies before going out on his own.

James’s philosophy was simple: show up on time, do the work right, and actually follow up. Most contractors get the first two right sometimes. James was obsessed with all three, every time.

Thirteen years and 500+ homes later, that’s still the standard. The company has grown, the crew has expanded, and the tools have gotten better, but the commitment hasn’t changed.
